Before your Alton greenhouse can be installed it is important that the site is correctly prepared.  We recommend you prepare a perimeter footing of concrete or paving slabs for your greenhouse to stand on. This provides a stable, level base for your greenhouse and prevents the wood from coming into contact with damp soil.  

It is essential that any base is firm and level using either patio slabs, a full concrete base or a concrete perimiter.  Your local Alton retailer will usually be able to provide you with advice or even prepare a suitable base for you and the documents below may prove useful:
